Dare Property Group is proud to present Society House, a series of sculptural, consciously designed homes in the heart of Fitzroy. With architecture by SJB and interiors by Travis Walton, these considered apartments combine sophisticated design, communal amenity and built-in sustainability to cultivate an enriched way of life in Melbourne’s most vibrant suburb.

Merging principles of art and design, the building is defined by a monolithic yet highly sculptural form. It embraces varying layers of concrete as an ode to purity, simplicity and permanence. Lush greenery has been woven seamlessly into the facade to instil a strong connection to nature whilst enabling the building to meld with the tree-lined character of Napier Street.

Fostering community connection, local Indigenous artist Yhonnie Scarce has been commissioned to create an installation at the entryway of the building. Scarce is a Kokatha and Nukunu woman from South Australia, with works held in some of Australia’s most important institutions. Rooted in family history, her interdisciplinary practice often references the on-going effects of colonisation on Aboriginal people.

Sustainability is of the essence at Society House, equipped with a range of innovative design features and initiatives including renewable energy, natural ventilation, low impact building materials and abundant integrated landscaping and beyond. Communal amenities will encourage a sense of community amongst residents as well as a convenient, inner-urban lifestyle.
